A Message to Human Resource Professionals, Production Managers and Team Leaders:
Communicating with non-English fluent, first generation Hispanic employees can be, at times, quite challenging. Unclear messages and misunderstandings occur even when the same language is spoken. How much more so when other languages are spoken in the workplace?
First generation, Spanish speaking employees have one of the most impressive work ethics. They have demonstrated that they are willing to work hard and get the job done.
However, many have come up through the ranks without the adequate leadership training. They may lack the necessary management and supervisor skills required to lead or communicate effectively with their team members.
Our training is based on twenty years experience in the day to day operation of first generation Hispanic employees. Depending on the participants’ preference, the workshops may be delivered in either English or in Spanish.
For those who prefer to receive the training in Spanish, we have been meticulous in providing the workshops and associated workbooks in the Spanish language the participants know and understand.
The training focuses on the day to day issues and challenges. The employees will learn to apply the process based, time tested, proven skills in order to communicate more effectively and solve workplace problems.
In a multicultural workplace where different languages are spoken, communication issues and challenges are bound to occur. A language barrier in the workplace causes confusion and frustration especially; among the non-English fluent Hispanic employees. Studies have shown that there is a direct link between poor communication skills and a loss in productivity and revenue.
Our workshops have been specifically designed to inspire leadership and improve the communication and leadership skills of first generation, non-English fluent Hispanic team leaders, supervisors and front line employees.
In order to meet your special learning requirements, we offer leadership training programs that teach process based, workplace relevant, skills that can be applied from the classroom directly into the workplace.
The workshops at Training for Hispanics in the Workplace are designed to drive results, to build trust and to empower non-English fluent Hispanic team leaders, supervisors and front line employees.
- The scenarios, case studies and examples are based on real life workplace situations and;
- The teaching principles and methods applied are based on their specific individual learning styles and preferences.
These workshops have been delivered in organizations such as Saralee Foods, The City of Dallas Parks and Recreation, Mission Foods, Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas and others.
